Capt. William "Hawk" Albracht
I wholeheartedly and without hesitation endorse Bill Albracht as an outstanding and dynamic speaker. "Bill’s delivery was exemplary. By combining humor, personal examples, and an informal but highly focused presentation, he demonstrated his command of empathetic servant leadership principles and gave the audience immediately useful takeaways. True healing took place. We received very positive feedback on his presentation. Participants left with insight and a sense of direction on how to address adversity in the future." Rick G. Ernst, Director of the University of Dubuque, Sergeant Jeffrey B. Dodge Veterans Center |
"Sometimes learning of another person's plight puts things in perspective regarding one's own life. A motivational speaker can do just that." Video report of event created by Jon Micheal Connor, ASC Public Affairs. The U.S. Army Sustainment Command Wellness Division’s Resilience Program sponsored the event held April 11, 2018, in Heritage Hall at Rock Island Arsenal, where Hawk spoke "to a packed house." |
Bill Albracht was hands down the highlight of the event. "Bill Albracht is a dynamic, engaging speaker and we were very lucky to have him on stage for our 2016 Quad Cities Army Birthday Ball in Bettendorf, Iowa. He was hands down the highlight of the event. His keynote presentation on his life experiences in Vietnam and beyond truly resonated with our audience of Soldiers, Civilians, and spouses. In his very lively, energizing remarks, Bill exuded what selfless service, competence, commitment, and being a leader of character is all about. Bill is an American hero that inspires listeners to emulate him, and do more for their country than they even knew was possible." Kevin O’Connell, Major General (US Army, Retired), Commanding General, Army Sustainment Command, 2014-2016. |

Bill's presentation took our Office's Executive Protection program to a new level. I cannot overstate the positive impact his shared knowledge had in enhancing our professional performance and inspiring us to continue to think outside the box. The Marshal's Office was extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to meet Bill and learn from his great wealth of knowledge and experience as a seasoned veteran with the Secret Service. I highly recommend Bill for development and training programs in promoting organizational effectiveness. Respectfully, James Cimarossa, Marshal of the Supreme Court of Illinois |
Bill was a joy to work with. A captivating keynote speaker at our fund raising gala, and separate event talking about his book, Abandoned In Hell. "Bill's public speaking skills are top-notch. He came across as charming, intelligent, engaging, and humble as he shared personal experiences that shaped his own life and changed history... "Without a doubt Black Hawk College Foundation would invite Bill Albracht back. And if you have not yet read his book or heard Bill speak, you should! "Please feel free to contact me (see image for contact info) if you have any questions." Maureen A. Dickinson Executive Director, Black Hawk College QC Foundation |
Bill is a great speaker and presenter... As he took us through his experience at Fire Base Kate it almost felt like one was there. The entire audience was riveted by his account. When Bill asked anyone who had served in Viet Nam to stand and be recognized for their service. It was an emotional moment for those veterans as well as well as their spouses. And when he fielded questions — from Viet Nam veterans, other veterans and those who had not served — he knew exactly how to reach each person... I could not recommend my good friend and former colleague enough. Bill Albracht is a superlative man and a great soldier. And he has a real gift for gauging and connecting with his audience.
